Contract cheating represents a challenge to the academic integrity of the educational system. Although one single solution to contract cheating does not exist, the importance of an educative approach is recognised to ensure that students benefit from the learning opportunities offered to them.
This lead presentation for the Transform-EDU Project held during Valuing Ireland’s Teaching & Learning Week will review the characteristics of contract cheating, including how educators can recognise breaches. The presentation will also consider opportunities available for educators to mitigate the risks of students succumbing to contract cheating, including how this topic can be taught to students and how preventative measures can be put into place. Time will be available for questions and discussion.
