A couple of years ago I flipped a programming modules with 165 students. I replaced lectures with additional laboratory sessions and the physical lectures with over 16 hours of instructional video content. I found Techsmith Camtasia and Panopto to be the perfect tools to facilitate this. Camtasia is an excellent and easy to use screen capture software that enables me to produce high quality instructional videos for my students very quickly. These two tools have helped me to transform my teaching practice to reflect how modern students engage with content in a digital landscape.
