Universities have been mandated under SDG 4.7.1 to develop sustainability literature graduates. By sustainability literacy, we refer to the knowledge, skills, and mindsets that help compel an individual to become deeply committed to building a sustainable future (Décamps, 2017).
In this webinar we explore the transformative nature of education for sustainability and underpinning reflective pedagogy. We outline a whole-of-university approach to ensuring that it is embedded across the curricula.
We highlight approaches to measurement and evaluation and showcase the use of the UN’s sustainability literacy test or SULITEST www.sulitest.org with reflective practice in contextualising sustainability literacy across different disciplines.
